I studied Slavic Studies and East and Southeast European History in Regensburg, Warsaw and Munich. During my studies I worked as an undergraduate assistant at the German Historical Institute Warsaw and for five years at the Osteuropa-Institut Munich. In 2003 I graduated with a master's degree and started working at the Corporate History Desk of HypoVereinsbank Munich. In the following year I changed the field of activity hiring as an educational coordinator in European historical education at a NGO in Dresden. Since 2011 I am focusing on librarianship: initially as an employee of the Public Library of Emden (2011–2012), moreover as postgraduate student of Library and Information Science at the Humboldt University Berlin. Since 2013 I am an academic member of the library staff at IOS and responsible for the repository and digital information project OstDok (www.ostdok.de), the server for research on Eastern Europe.
